Recognizing U.S.-based, privately held companies that have exhibited exceptionally fast growth over the past year, the 2016 Inc. 5000 features an impressive roster of businesses across a diverse range of industries. First introduced in 1982 as the Inc. 500 (which was later expanded to the current 5000 in 2007), companies that qualify for this honor must generate more than $100,000 in revenue in their base year, and at least $2M their final year.
