MD Connect Vein Program Named Finalist for Two Search Engine Land Awards

MD Connect has been named a finalist for Search Engine Land’s 2016 Landy Awards in recognition for its successful vein screening event campaign for The Vein Center at Muto Surgical.

On August 11th, finalists were announced for the 2016 Search Engine Landy Awards, and MD Connect has been selected as a finalist under the categories of “Best Local Search Marketing Initiative” and “Best Overall SEM Initiative” for small businesses. To qualify, companies must have 100 employees or less, with total ad spend under $10,000 during the specified campaign period. 

This award recognizes successful search engine marketing (SEM) campaigns across one or multiple search-based advertising platforms by internal teams, agencies, or consultants. All entrants selected as finalists have demonstrated a positive return on investment, with improved visibility and higher conversion among new customers on major search platforms.

MD Connect qualified for this award based on its execution of a highly successful paid search initiative at The Vein Center at Muto Surgical, which specializes in minimally invasive procedures for venous disease, or varicose veins. The overarching goal of the campaign was to drive new patient appointments for a free vein screening event held in March 2016. 

The campaign deployed a wide-reaching, comprehensive strategy to maximize the number of new patient referrals to the Center, via the following channels: Google Search, Google Contextual Ads, Google Display Ads, Bing Search, Facebook In-Newsfeed Ads, and Perfect Audience Retargeting. All ads linked to a dedicated vein screening event landing page, designed to reinforce the Center’s credibility and convert visitors into appointments. 

This campaign yielded conclusively positive results, generating 37 total qualified leads for a CPL of $46.43, 20 confirmed new patient bookings for screening appointments, and an estimated 10x return on investment (ROI). The Muto Surgical Center has since run multiple similar screening events due to the success of this MD Connect-led campaign and plans to promote 4-5 more events in 2017.

Winners in all categories will be announced at an awards ceremony at the Edison Ballroom in New York City, scheduled to take place on Wednesday, September 28 from 8-11PM.
